Our Story

Co-founder and CEO Federico Trotta, a First Class MEng Chemical Engineering graduate of Imperial College London, filed the patent at the heart of Metalchemy’s platform.

What began in 2019 as a new, sustainable route to colloidal metals has grown into an AI and robotics-enabled materials platform developing alternatives to toxic and unsustainable chemicals across consumer goods, food packaging, healthcare and critical materials.

Metalchemy's metal colloids are up to 25 times more concentrated than conventional products, cutting production costs by 10 to 50 times and, in silver synthesis, reducing global warming potential 78-fold
